ACT LIKE YOU'VE GOT SENSE I

As is the case with the cocktail parties mentioned in the previous post, your elegant new demeanor will expose you to different types of people from many nations across the globe. With your newfound friends, try not to embarrass yourself (or me) with your shenanigans. There will be instances when you want to do something really stupid, I mean, outright moronic—as if you had no damn sense. You can't blame your mom forever. She did the best she could for you with the little money she made at the topless bar near the truck stop. Mr. Mannerz is here to teach you now. Below is the first example.

Please don't tell your new Korean friend how much you love Mr. Miyagi. Not only was the Karate Kid mentor supposed to be from Okinawa, Japan, but he was played by California-born Noriyuki "Pat" Morita (RIP). Your new friend may be inclined to call you a babo and keep it moving in order to get away from your foolishness. Now you've got some sense.

  1. Thank you Mr. Mannerz! I'm the daughter of Vietnamese immigrants and I'm tired of people, sometimes total strangers, coming up to me and asking for chopstick advice or telling me about their son's karate tournament.
