Please don't ask your black friend if you can touch her hair. Whether she wears her hair in its natural state, has a relaxer, wears a lace front weave like our friend Tyra, has microbraids, boxed braids, a fade, dreadlocks, a Jheri curl, or a wig. Trust Mr. Mannerz, it's best just to tell her that her hair looks nice. Don't touch it. Don't ask her how she gets it like that. Just compliment her, and keep it moving.
